YOURBAN

Urban cocreative, sustainable and inclusive ecosystem, for the recycling of reinforced polymers on-the-truck.

YouRban cocreates an active urban ecosystem for the recycling and upcycling of objects and materials, in relation to reinforced polymers coming from local environment.

The project activates an urban setting of citizens, artists, designers, architects, small-scale producers, artisans, and Urban Factories. 

Two complementary pilots will cocreate new objects through a Neighbourhood Participatory Approach supported by Collaborative Digital tools.

The material recycling and reprocessing experiences will go through a 10-day event around a mobile plant on board of a Truck that will be placed in the city and open to all actors.

Experts will be available to provide knowledge and training, citizens will be involved to provide needs and expectations, artists will be engaged through artistic residences to provide solutions inspired by art and culture 

Syxis in the project: 

Syxis will deploy a CoCreation tool, called Kartu, improved and customised for the urban dimension and for the circular economy needs.

Syxis will also provide a customised version of the VALIDU LMS Platform, in collaboration with the partner Mirai Digital, that enables the knowledge transfer process from pilot experience to stakeholders communities, inside and outside the consortium.

Syxis is also leader of the “Open Calls for Urban Factory engagement and EU replication”, managing the process of third party support to activate the concrete cooperation among citizens, artists, designers and Urban factories.  

The Open Calls managements includes the preparation of the documentation, as reviewers and applicants guidelines, and also the process of collecting proposals submission through the Syxis digital system.
